Our Beginning
Kilbourn Tree & Cottage (KT&C) is a family-owned business based on Juniper Island, Stony Lake. It all began with Aimee Kilbourn, whose handcrafted gardens and rock work at her cottage quickly gained the admiration of friends and neighbours, sparking a growing demand. In 2011, she founded “Aimee’s Rocks” to share her passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Her dedication to service and craftsmanship earned her a strong reputation in the community, allowing the business to thrive. Today, Aimee’s Rocks has evolved into KT&C, joined by her son Tam and his wife, Ana. Together, they bring a unique understanding of lake and island properties, expanding their services while staying true to their roots in quality and hard work.
Female & Veteran Run
Kilbourn Tree & Cottage began with Aimee Kilbourn, a trailblazer and athlete known for her swimming, golf, and tennis achievements. As one of the first female hockey players on Canada’s national women’s team, Aimee has always been a force to be reckoned with. Ana Kilbourn, a 19-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), was the first female Close Protection Operator to deploy for the CAF. In addition to being a part owner and the social media content manager of KT&C, Ana recently completed her MBA, bringing strategic insight and leadership to the business. Rounding out the team is Tam Kilbourn, who brings his dedication, unparalleled strength in lifting logs and expertise to the business.
Family Owned
KT&C is proudly run by the Kilbourn family, whose deep love for the lake and strong ties to the community made starting this business a natural choice. When they’re not dedicated to caring for your property, you can find them enjoying a round of golf, taking a swim in the lake, or unwinding with their beloved pets.
